The Junior Group exists to teach and encourage sailing and seamanship amonst the Club junior members.
Unstruction follows the RYA dighy syllabus and Juniors are encouraged to work for items in their log books.
Instructors are all volenteers, who are mostly RYA qualified instructors or working towards these qualifications.
Two club wayfareres and 3 toppers are available for instruction. The group operates on weekday evenings, usually Thursdays, during the wamer months.
Trips to the Alton Water reservoir are sometimes organised so that the Juniors can experience a variety of sailing conditions and different types of boat.
